As with any toothbrush, please thoroughly rinse the toothbrush handle and bristles with water before first use. This especially important with bamboo toothbrushes as compared to plastic toothbrushes.
Our Bristles are dentist approved. They sit within that sweet spot of soft and medium strength.
Whilst the handle can easily be made from biodegradable bamboo, bristles are much tricker. 99% toothbrush bristles, even on bamboo toothbrushes, are made from nylon-6. Others are made from Nylon-4, which is often claimed to be biodegradable. It isn’t. Pig hair, horse hair or boar bristles are the only biodegradable bristles currently on the market. Ours are recyclable material instead as we care about animals.

With proper care, our ecological bamboo toothbrush will last just as long as a conventional plastic toothbrush. The Australian Dental Association recommends replacing your toothbrush every 3 months, or when the bristles have frayed.
Please ensure your toothbrush is rinsed thoroughly and air dried after each use. It is very important to shake excess water off or wipe dry the toothbrush with a towel. To avoid mould from growing on the handle of the bamboo toothbrush, store it openly that allow it to breathe. We DO NOT recommend to sit the toothbrush in the water as the dampness will encourage mould growing as bamboo is a type of organic plant material.
2 minutes in total, 2 times a day in circular motions. It’s always best to hold the bamboo toothbrush at a 45-degree angle towards the gum line.
They will be frayed and due for a replacement. Toothbrush more than 3 months old looks is full of bacteria. Please replace immediately
After 3 months or when the bristles begin to fray, it’s time to throw your bamboo toothbrush away. The bristles of an old toothbrush are NOT effective at removing plaque, so do your smile a favour and replace it!
